Colin remembers the days when people tried to make you pay for web browsers, and when Internet Explorer was considered the best option for the future of the web. Things have changed a lot since then, in fact Colin regularly shakes his head when he thinks what is possible online in 2010.
His co-authored book, Learning Ext JS shows off some of the technologies he loves working with when he’s not writing on his personal blog or preparing a pet project in our labs.
Simon comes to Go Tripod after previously nurturing and building two other successful software businesses.
He has a deep understanding of the software and technologies involved in creating outstanding solutions but communicates in plain English.
Simon uses his business acumen and technical prowess to help clients get to grips with tech and effectively using it to improve their businesses. For the record – yes, he still owns a Sinclair ZX81.
Jon started his career hacking code on his Sinclair Spectrum before moving on to more sophisticated machines (...such as a Commodore 64).
He graduated from the University of Kent in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science and went on to work in IT within the finance industry then freelancing as a web developer, before co-founding Go Tripod.
He is passionate about usability and design and his favourite development technologies are Ruby, and Javascript. When he is not sat at his desk he is standing on his head doing yoga, exploring foreign cooking or on an adventure exploring his love for photography in the great outdoors.
