Great post,
I always like to read about how to describe software development.

Jim Weirich also put it nice the other day: "99% of the time we're designing", which doesn't sound as easy as "writing" in the context of writing software.

Regards,
Steffen

P.S. I was completely surprised when seeing the unexpected "Ext JS" in your bio after reading this post about software in general. Didn't associate your name with Ext JS yet, now I do. ;)

Yeah i Agree with your points. I just happen to work for a startup firm and my boss is some young ambitious man. Now he has the same idea as "If you have written this b4 then its a matter of copy and paste and tweaking.." in his words exactly. And i have quit the campaign of trying to educate him on the tiny irrelevant things i need to take care of for each project. I wish he get to read your post then it will give me some air to breathe...
